Turog Bread Bakery Sign

A large antique advertising sign for 'Turog Bread'.
A unique find, with original gilt paint and iron strap-work on the back.
Independent bakeries often displayed these signs to promote their Turog bread, made with Turog flour provided by the company. Turog Brown Flour Company was a major contender against Hovis for "healthy" brown bread from the early 1900s until the mid 1900s.
A rare British advertising piece from the early 20th century.
